A very original approach here. Interesting how you've used the halo effect to good use, as it's usually something that needs to be avoided.

I really like the glowing (halo) effect on these birds. It evokes a dreamy feel, at least in the eye of this viewer.

Your shots have their own power.. trust them..
ease off on the halo .. or 'burning' to reinforce them...
I admire the artistic effect.. its striking ..
but I admire the basic intrinsic strength of the shots.. far more.. cuz its so obvious..
